Rolling With Donuts
TV's Quirkiest Travel Show!
The Rising of the Dough... How it all began
Danny Donuts, always on the lookout for anything bizarre, unique and out of the ordinary found out how one Wisconsin town was going to ring in 2007... "It's called Dropping of the Carp. Let's go check it out! We'll bring along a video camera and do a documentary on it," he explained to his comical cohorts, Freddy and Don. The trio hopped in Danny's minivan (the Donutmobile) and drove 6 hours to the small town of Prairie du Chein, Wisconsin.
One month later they were in Tampa, Florida experiencing The Gasparilla Pirate Fest. After filming these two episodes of "On the Road With Freddy, Donuts & Don" they stopped going on the road together. And since you can't do a TV show called "On the Road..." without going on the road, they also stopped doing their show.
About the same time the 17-year cicadas were resurfacing (June, 2007) Danny Donuts resurfaced with a new title to the show... "Rolling With Donuts." It's the same concept but this time features a rotating cast of characters known as the Hole-y Rollers. Danny loads up the Donutmobile with a few of these hand-picked real-life characters and they set off to experience the quirkiest events and festivals they can find. Where they are going is a mystery but we can share with you where they have been.
